Bio
Peter Fenton is a writer and director crafting stories for stage and screen that make audiences laugh, think, and occasionally squirm. Born in a New York City suburb and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, he completed a postgrad apprenticeship at Philadelphia’s Walnut Street Theatre and now works across the Philadelphia and New York theater and film scenes. His stage plays include dark comedy Abandon All Hope, which premiered Off-Broadway in 2023 as part of the Rogue Theater Festival, and I Think We're Lost, a young adult dark comedy retelling of Peter and Wendy, slated for its world premiere in Philadelphia in 2026. His theatrical work has been seen at Theatre Row and The Flea in New York City, Lambertville Hall, the Philly Improv Theater, Artworks Trenton, West Art Lancaster, and in schools and community theaters nationwide. On screen, Fenton's work has toured the international film festival circuit. He earned awards for producing and co-writing the psychological thriller Night Voices with Dadley Productions, as well as for his directorial debut Inherently Special, a family drama he wrote and produced through his own company, Fenton Productions. Based in New Hope, Pennsylvania, Fenton is the Marketing Associate for Passage Theatre Company in Trenton, New Jersey. He also freelances with McCarter Theatre Center at Princeton University, Bucks County Playhouse, Premiere Stages at Kean University, Dadley Productions, Newtown Arts Company, and a range of individual clients.
