Conestoga Valley High School recently hosted a special community choir event that brought together students, alumni, and families for an evening of music and connection.

The program opened with members of the Valley Vocals ensemble performing “From the Start.” The CV choir, directed by Liz Carney, followed with a selection of pieces including “Non Nobis Domine,” “900 Miles,” “This Is Home,” and “I’m Growing Flowers.”  

The highlight of the evening was the finale, when audience members—including choir alumni, teachers, parents, grandparents, and retired choir director Joann Goebel—were invited to join the students on stage for “Let the River Run.” Accompanied by retired elementary music teacher Linda Tough, the combined group created a meaningful moment that reflected the strong sense of community within Conestoga Valley.

As a special “hidden track” to close the evening, the combined choir remained on stage to sing CV’s alma mater—a fitting ending that brought generations of the CV community together in a shared tradition.
