The 28th Annual CVEF Golf Classic teed off on Monday, September 15th at Meadia Heights Golf Club, and it truly was a day to remember. With perfect weather, a fully sold-out course of 144 players, and a fantastic team of volunteers making it all run smoothly, this year's tournament was another huge success for Conestoga Valley students.

This year's event was proudly sponsored by Marotta/Main, the school district's architect and a long-time partner of CVEF. Alongside them, nearly 30 business sponsors — local companies eager to invest in their community and in education — helped make the day possible, and more than 20 local businesses contributed fantastic raffle prizes for golfers to enjoy.

A Day Full of Fun on the Course

Golfers were treated to a delicious BBQ lunch courtesy of Smokehouse at Plain & Fancy Farm, hole contests sponsored by TempChek, and a brand-new addition this year sponsored by American Music Theater — the chance to launch their drive off Hole 11 using an actual cannon. Golfers also had a shot at winning a tractor from Little's or a car from Susquehanna Ford with a hole-in-one, and of course, no one skipped the tournament's most beloved stop: a Rita's treat waiting at Hole 8.

The day wrapped up with a buffet dinner, capping off a full afternoon of golf, competition, and community.

This Year's Winners

Competition on the course was fierce this year, with two teams tying at an incredible score of 54. After a tiebreaker on the final three holes, Robert Good's team edged out the competition to claim 1st place, with Brent Hostetter's team finishing a close 2nd.

• Class Contest: Kurt Gehman's team — a big shoutout to the Class of 2000!
• Closest to the Pin: Tyler Hull and Max Forry
• Putting Contest: Neal Rice '98

Introducing "Beat the Chairman"

This year also debuted a brand-new contest: Beat the Chairman. CVEF Golf Committee Chairman Sam Dillman took his shot on Hole 13, and any player who could beat it earned an entry to win a prize. In a twist no one saw coming — Sam sank a hole-in-one on his very own challenge shot!
